2 weeks before Durga Puja,2019 auto drivers near Ahritola,Kolkata had hiked their auto fare from Rs. 7 to Rs.10 towards sohabazar metro and from Rs. 15 to Rs. 20 towards ultadanga area. In conversation with a young auto driver yesterday it was concluded that he is required to pay their Auto Union Leader Vijay Ojha Rs.4000 as per his route permit during Durga Puja as collection and others are charged based upon their route permit. This has been the scenario since few years and it serves as a inconvenience to daily travellers. Is this viable and shall this practice be continued in upcoming years?
